Nicole D. Dorman

Nicole D. Dorman is a graduate of St. Joseph College and the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she was fourth in her class and graduated with high honors.  Admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1988, she is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.  Attorney Dorman holds a Master of Social Work from Catholic University of America and, prior to practicing law, worked as a clinician in both inpatient and outpatient health care settings.  That background allows her to understand both the technical and legal aspects of claims of illness or injury.  Her practice includes a wide range of civil matters with emphasis on all aspects of municipal defense, particularly employment and education claims.  She also focuses on professional liability, including dental and orthodontic malpractice; marine claims; and appellate matters in both state and federal courts.  Attorney Dorman is a member of the Connecticut and Hartford County Bar Associations and regularly presents risk management programs in collaboration with the American Association of Orthodontists Insurance Company.
